BIG PROPS to John at Stoutboy in Claremont. This piece was in trouble. Canvas exposed to the elements and was warping from a bad mounting job.
John gave it a new backing, glassed it to flatten it out and affixed it with a beaded black frame that really made the image pop. Super happy, and I highly recommend.
I only have stuff framed and matted at Stout Boy. Why you Ask? John is absolutely great at what he does. He does everything himself and it's always perfect.
This is the place to take your framing jobs. DO NOT bring your art or etc to the big chain outfit... It took me a while to figure that out. The quality of work and materials at Stoutboy is absolutely top notch, the prices will blow you away (if you're used to big box prices) and John is very cool dude.
Framing is John’s trade. He is a true craftsman and it shows from start to finish. Wish more humans put so much soul into what they do. Great prices for quality product, can’t ask for much more, but somehow you do get more. Fantastic:)
John is very helpful guiding through all the choices of different mat and frame options. Did a fantastic job framing two prints for us. Couldn't be happier. All this at a very reasonable price. Don't waste your time going to Aaron's or Michael's. Highly recommend & will be back!
