  Fun little event, except for the big mud puddles, and no coffee/hot beverage stand to go with the delicious baked goods! Forestry staff was nice and knowledgeable about types of trees and maple syrup production. Some Erie County Bureau of Forestry big wigs were there, on a weekend day, which was nice to see they really care. Plus there was good live music! Fun watching dudes branding log rounds given away for free! Dogs welcome. Lots of kids having fun. Parking directed by staff so coming and going was easy and safe. To make it a 5☆ event they could have a couple more vendors, to go with other vendors' products, like hot beverages on cold days to go with baked yummies! And more maple products besides syrup.

  Soooo much fun! We took the ski trail and I could tell it wasn’t used very often and it made me think that I was just discovering this place 😊 Found a bigfoot mark!! Lol- will come back!!

  This was actually a hike on a couple of trails in the Erie County Forest. Snow was nicely tamped down to where snowshoes were not necessary. Nice winter scenery on a peaceful hike for the winter hiking challenge.

  What a great way to spend an afternoon! We took the yellow trail with our dog today (his first time there). There is just the right amount of challenging areas on the trail along with wide open trail areas. It was so beautiful, so quiet we could hear the trees creak with the breeze, the birds singing.
