  Chris serves up an epic surf tour and knows his way around, seeking out the most ideal spots. His knowledge of the areas and solid grasp of the language and people is unmatched. His apocalypse rig will get you where you need to be and back. He also serves up the richter grinds and beverages that will not disappoint! Great trip and can't wait to go again

  A friend and I booked a trip to Tahiti through 4x4 Surf Tours and I can easily say it was the best surf trip of my life. We had originally booked in April 2020 but French Polynesia was closed to tourist so we had to rebook for September 2020. Chris at 4x4 Surf Tours helped facilitate the re-book process and even gave us back our deposit despite his business being shut down for the foreseeable future. He is the nicest and easiest surf tour operator I've worked with and I do trips like this at least once a year. He took time to answer any question we had and was very knowledgeable. Everything was smooth and effortless once we arrived in Tahiti. We had dedicated guides who now feel like lifelong friends. They drove us where we needed to go, took us out to the wave every session, shared their local knowledge on the wave and local adventures. Plus they cooked every meal for us and it was some of the best food I've ever had. Lot's of fresh tuna, fruits and other local cuisine. I am now looking forward to taking a Baja, Mexico trip with Chris sooner than later after having such a great first experience with his guided surf tours.

  Short Review:
  Cannot say enough good things about Chris and 4x4 Surf Tours. Whatever you are looking for (surf, relaxation, good vibes, good food, experiencing Baja at it's most real and untouched), you will find it with Chris. You will have zero regrets in choosing Chris for your Baja adventure.
  
  Experienced surfer? Great, he'll help you score great conditions while you make the hard choice between fish or shrimp tacos.
  
  New/Intermediate surfer? Get ready to take your surfing up a notch in quality uncrowded breaks, with guidance and support from someone who lives and breathes it.
  
  Longer Review:
  
  Some of the highlights for me:
  
  1) All around Good Vibes: Living with a surf guide and another guest I didn't know, for 7 days? Turned into one of the travel experiences of my life (and I travel A LOT). Chris takes your enjoyment and fun seriously.
  
  2) Next level understanding of the waves and local conditions. We scored consistently on both south and north facing breaks on almost every day of our trip. If you haven't spent years travelling Baja, this knowledge alone makes this tour worth it.
  
  3) Absolute respect for the country: minimal waste, minimal impact, low profile - Chris loves Baja, and it shows in the way he conducts these tours. Truly embraced 'leave no trace' principles.
  
  4) Absolute respect for the people of Baja - Chris's Spanish is excellent, and the mutual respect he has developed with the people of Baja adds another layer to the experience.
  
  5) Just f*ckin' do it already!

  My buddy and I booked a northern Baja trip with 4x4 surf tours about 6 months in advance because that was the only way we could fit it into our busy work/family schedule. Chris’ extensive knowledge, helped us pick the exact best time based on tides and chance for swell. Having any swell show up on our 5 day trip window was up to Mother Nature and she delivered!
  
  From the minute Chris picked us in San Diego, any reservations we had about heading into Mexico on a 5 day surf adventure, with a complete stranger, were quickly put at ease. His easy going attitude, positive outlook and professionalism made us feel like it would be a successful trip.
  
  The next 5 days were filled with nothing but good times. Chris is the ultimate surf/camp/tour guide. His fluency in Spanish and local knowledge/ relationships made all crossings, checkpoints and road side taco stand stops easy and stress free. We ate the freshest beach side food, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Coffee waiting for us when we got out of bed, ready with a beer before we could ask and fresh made guac.
  
  His years of surfing this part of the world had us into some of the best surf we’ve ever scored. The down times filled with exploring the coast, catching fish and drinking beers around the fire. Easily one of the best surf trips I’ve ever been on.
  
  Chris takes great pride and goes to great lengths to ensure you’re looked after and having the best time possible. If you only have a relatively short window and want to experience the best that the Baja has to offer, do not hesitate to book a trip with Chris and 4x4 surf tours.

  Where to begin!? Baja was such an awesome trip. Chris had the perfect balance of professionalism and surf adventurer. He was super knowledgeable about all the surf spots we visited and even though mother nature did not behave as we hoped some days, he improvised and made the most of the conditions. When the surf was down he took us on some awesome 4x4 trails looking for more waves, got us on some really good fishing holes, delicious taco shops and provided beautiful camp fire views. I really could not have asked for a better adventure. If you’re looking to explore new waves and some beautiful landscapes with a real stand up guy, then you have to check out 4x4 Surf Tours.
