It was Dr. Steinke's thorough knowledge and enthusiasm about how bunion surgery has evolved that has won me over. Dr. Steinke explained the pros and cons between traditional cut & removal to minimal invasive to the latest 3D bunion surgery. He truly believes in correcting the root cause of bunion while perfecting the procedure to reduce overall recovery time.
It has been 5 weeks since my surgery and my recovery time has been pretty smooth. I slept as much as I could for the first two days post surgery and by day 3, I was off pain medication and was able to move around either with crutches or a knee walker. By week 3, I was comfortably walking around in a surgical boot. I have bunion on both foot and after my left foot has healed, I am at ease and look forward to having my right foot corrected as well. I am so glad that I finally decided to get the bunion surgery and I can look forward to simply walking without pain.

I had an extra bone in my ankle which was causing me a lot of pain. I went to Dr. Steinke and he told me I needed surgery. I was scared at first and dreading it more than anything since I never had surgery before. Within 3 days of my surgery, I was back at work (on crutches) and living my normal life. He is super awesome, nice, and comfortable to be around. Would recommend to anyone with a foot or ankle problem.

My husband and I have both had foot surgeries with Dr. Steinke, he is amazing!!. He is extremely knowledgeable and very patient with my 101 questions, making sure to explain everything until I was comfortable and completely understood the extent of what was happening. He is very passionate about his work and ensuring his patient's are taken care of to the highest degree. His bedside manner is great, very down to earth, and that is very difficult to find with specialists I will ALWAYS recommend him to anyone with specific foot and ankle needs and trust him fully!

I had an issue with my right foot for over 20 years and it had gotten progressively worse and was starting to cause pain in my hips and knee. I had surgery in 2012 by another doctor who made it even worse.
Dr. Steinke performed my surgery in November 2017 and my foot has never felt better. He explained my issue thoroughly, described and even drew a picture of how he planned to fix it, and the surgery and recovery were exactly as he anticipated. I am so pleased!!! He is very professional and the office staff were always friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Steinke!
