I was recommended by my dentist to get my tooth that cracked to the root. I am so glad that they recommended Dr. Um and her team. I have my share of oral surgeries and implant and I can tell you horror stories of doctor leaving the room for 45 minutes and having to re-numb me 2X again. Dr. Um and her team was very caring. Dr. Um is very experience at what she does and it shows. You can really tell she cares about her patient. Dr. Um stayed in the room the whole process and explained what she is doing in details. Her team was very caring and make sure I was not in any pain. Her team explained and was very thorough in explaining the procedures prior as well as making sure I understand what the insurance will cover and what will be out of pocket so there is no surprise. The bottom line is I highly recommended Dr. Um and the Oral Surgeon team if you ever need oral surgery in South County. You will not regret it, I promised.

I took 2 of my kids to Dr. Um to have their wisdom teeth removed. The staff was great and I felt like my kids were in caring and capable hands. Dr. Um was very thorough in going over the procedure, recovery, medications, etc and made sure we had all the instructions needed. On surgery day, everything went smoothly. Later, she checked in to make sure they were doing ok and see if we had any questions. The healing process went smoothly for both. When anyone asks, I’m always quick and confident to recommend Lake Forest Oral Surgery!

This is the place! I had a tooth that needed immediate help. I was given a next day appointment. The staff is stupendous, friendly and effective. And Dr. Um is the quintessence of the American dream, having studied around the world including two of the best schools in America (Albert Einstein for her residency and UCLA for her DDS) She is smart, personable, strong, confident and smart as a whip. I am never going anywhere else. Do yourself a favor: call them and get it done. No practice for oral surgery could possibly be better. Thank you to the whole team!

Dr Um and her team are amazing. They are very thorough before during and after my sons oral surgery (wisdom teeth removal). I felt very comfortable leaving my son in her care.

For the past 2 years, I’ve had an ever-present dull ache in my mouth due to my wisdom teeth. I was told by my dentist that removing all four of them would be a difficult surgery, since two were wrapped with sensitive nerves. So, I’ve been very nervous about going through with the extraction, and put off making an appointment for the surgery for years. I eventually decided enough was enough, and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Um upon recommendation by my dentist — and I am so incredibly glad that I did! I was finally able to relieve my pain, and was offered an amazing care team in doing so.

Here, i was met with fantastic staff all around. From the receptionists, to the dental assistants, to the doctor — i was treated with the upmost care and respect every step of the way. The front desk staff made the check-in process the smoothest ive ever experienced at any clinic. The healthcare team were quick to call me back; and spared no time in performing the preliminary testing, or easing my worries through answering all of my questions and concerns.
I felt that this clinic did a fantastic job of giving me all the necessary information and tools to make an informed decision for my own health. They were friendly, transparent, and empathetic — which is all i could ask of a surgical team!
Dr. Um did an amazing job on my wisdom teeth extraction. She taught me how to take care of the wounds after the surgery, and with enough rest, I was able to make a full & speedy recovery — with an improved smile to show for it! :D
