Quality Inn Escondido Downtown

I am very glad that we stayed at this hotel. The room was large, clean and very nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room had a fridge, microwave and TV. I was surprised that the landings on all floors, when you enter the room from the side of the street, were clean. This is the first time I saw in hotels. I recommend and you won't regret it.

I have stayed at many 2 star hotels in the San Diego/Escondido area and they are for the most part ok for a short stay. I recently checked out of Comfort Inn (about 1 mile away) after a 3 week stay (which was much too long). It looked newer on the outside but the rooms were very small and not clean. It probably would have been ok for a short stay. My first impression when I walked into Quality Inn was that we had an exceptionally large room, it looked clean and fresh and we could smell how clean it was when we walked in. Rooms appear to have been recently remodeled which was not expected because the outside of the facility is obviously much older. There is a nice laundry facility with a sorting table, and it has well stocked vending machines inside. There is plenty of free parking spaces and It also comes with a small hot breakfast. I had one minor problem with a chair and the front desk had a repair person take care of it within 5 minutes. Overall I would say it is a good place to stay long or short periods of time :
