La Dolce Vita

First time dining here after more than a dozen trips to the OBX. Everything was excellent. Started off with Marinated Ciliegine Mozzarella. Then the Pumpkin Bisque. And finally the Chicken Parmesan. Located in the Timbuck II shopping center of Corolla, this is a must for your next trip to the OBX.

The food was extremely good. The atmosphere was...meh. The staff was pretty rude to be honest. We got a strong vibe that we were lucky to be there and that the employees were better than us. It was odd.

Also, they didn't refill drinks, didn't check back with us. For a place with only about 10 tables, it seems like the service would be better.

The chef is great though and the food is very authentic Italian. If you temper your expectations about the dining experience, the food can be worth the trip.

This place was delicious! Ended up getting a table on our last night at OBX for party of 6. First we got free homemade bread which was delicious!! The kitchen was able to accommodate some members of our party who were vegan/vegetarian as well with a vegan ravioli and salads. We tried the butternut squash bisque but asked for it without lobster and it was still some of the best soup I’ve ever had. Entrees were delicious as well. Our server lily was very accommodating and friendly.

Amazing experience all around! The food was top notch and the service was beyond top tier. The food times are a usual complaint I see on reviews here, but as someone who eats out and goes to higher end places food times are usually 45-1hr for freshly made food. Whenever my food comes out too quickly it’s usually not the best or top quality. This place does it right that’s really all I can say. If you are in town def make sure you get here and get here early! If you have to wait, grab a drink and step outside for some beautiful sound views.

On the rainy OBX vacation, this restaurant was a wonderful safe haven excursion. Calamari....Great! Drinks...Great! Service...Spectacular! This place may be the reason for my return to Outer banks during better seasons.
