Amsterdam Family Health Center

Went there over 30 years ago. The doctors were very nice with. Don't remember their names at all. I was just a child. Two women. One hispanic and one white with glasses and white hair I believe. That's as much I can remember. It was a special place for me.

I changed my PCP to this clinic and saw Dr. Cohen for an initial visit. Unlike some of my experiences in other places in the past, I had a great experience at this clinic. From the receptionists to the medical professionals, they are warm, and friendly. They listen and try to work with you . Dr. Cohen made me feel comfortable and at ease. I felt much better when I walked out of the clinic. Two days after my visit, she wrote me an email on the patient's portal to follow up with me. I am so grateful for her attention and care.

I really prefer clinics like The Institute for Family Health because of all the locations they offer. My previous doctor here was Dr. Pike. She was awesome! I'll miss her. But my new doc, Dr. Sinclair is a pro. I've been taking horrible care of myself of late and he's not going to let me slide. He's not going to let me get away without getting my flu shot either. He's straight, no chaser. I like that. He also gave me a referral to a great radiology center that accepts my insurance. Bonus points.

The Madison Ave. clinic has a pretty bad waiting list for therapists for some reason, and I just lost mine. Come to find out from Dr. Sinclair that there's a therapist in residence at this location. I can practically fall out of bed for my appointments now! Awesome!

So now I'm going to get my mind and body right. You only get the one. Better take good care of it.
