Have been procuring clay from Michael for nearing two decades and have never found any other clay bodies which even come close in any category. The workability and unique properties of his clay bodies will forever set the bar for me. 10000 thank yous Michael

Eastbay Clay makes the best clay bodies in one giant local shop out of Richmond. Their porcelain is the best: check out Sleeper which has malleability alongside standing up to tougher demands... as well as incredible flashing in wood ,salt, and gas kilns. Owner Mike Haney is a favorite for his decades of knowledge and expertise as well as consistency and variety of clay bodies. No need to go with mass producers when you have a gem like East Bay Clay! I write this review as someone who also has worked with them and as a Potter.

I can always find a great selection of clays at very low prices.

A wonderful place to get clay. Michael is personable and very knowledgeable about his products. He was very helpful in steering me towards the right clay for my project. I always learn something new about ceramics and clay whenever I go to East Bay Clay. Plus, he has a terrific dog.

Michael is great and his clay is expertly formulated and mixed.
