Akron Fossils & Science Center

Loved every moment at the Akron fossil and Science center. We showed up less than an hour before close and they let us do a self tour for half price. The exhibits were unique and the playground was everything you could dream of. Friendly staff and patrons made this an unforgettable experience

A cool museum that we discovered by accident. They have tours that include animals, making fossil replicas, and a talk on fossil formation. Nice outdoor play area including a small zip line ($3 extra). Separate Creation Education Center. Would be great for smaller kids, but my 13 and 17 yo kids enjoyed it. Very friendly staff.

This place is perfect to get out of the house for a few hours. Very hands on, lots of things to learn and do (nothing biblical like others have said), the staff is incredible & very friendly & kind to the kids. I will say there are bits & pieces of biblical things but not like others are explaining it in other reviews. Great place inside to eat & there’s also plenty of spots outside to eat as well so pack a good picnic lunch! It is a little small but that’s ok. The playground area maybe needed a little lawn maintenance like grass cut & some weeds cut down but other than that I think it’s a great place for kids to just be kids & have fun & learn. We’ll be back for sure.
