I started lessons with Travis late last year and have signed on for a second set of lessons. Even in a group setting he takes the time to instruct individually. The operation 36 is a different approach than what I have done in the past and was difficult for me to understand at first, but now makes perfect sense. Learn the short game first then move further out. Travis sets the tone for fun while learning. And what better way to improve your game than with a great instructor and a group of fun & outgoing ladies.

Our 7 year old grandson took an interest in golf with encouragement from me and his dad. I knew that my instructions, or his dad's instructions, were not going to be sufficient for him to properly execute and have fun. So, one day, at Rancho Carlsbad, we noticed boys and girls his age on the putting green with all different sorts of activities that appeared to be focused on fun and on golfing skills. I inquired with Travis, the teaching pro, and he explained the Operation 36 program and his philosophy of orienting children to the game of golf. So, we enrolled our grandson, He looks forward to his Tuesday afternoon sessions as well as his Saturday nine hole challenges. I stick around and watch Travis' approach to the students and how he engages them and helps them master the basics of golf, the etiquette of golf, and most importantly, having fun with golf. Safety is always mentioned, as well. (I've even picked up a few pointers myself! ) I highly recommend Travis for anyone considering enrolling their child in a golf development program or for individual lessons.

We are so happy we were introduced to Coach Travis and the Operation 36 program at Rancho Carlsbad last Fall. I can't think of anyone better to introduce young kids to the game of golf in a friendly, supportive and engaging manner. Travis has a way with the kids that is unequaled, and all I see are smiles during his lessons. My son has been inspired to do more with golf now and his passion is contagious. Highly recommend.

Operation 36 has been a wonderful balance of fun and constructive teaching. We were looking for a positive environment for our son to channel his newly discovered interest in golf while also building meaningful friendships. We appreciate the well thought out curriculum, filled with clever games, to keep our son challenged and steadily growing. Travis gives a lot of positive reinforcement, meaningful incentives, and encouragement to motivate each child in the class. He also fosters teamwork and kindness within the group. Our son is loving this program and begs to golf every day!
