We travelled to Boston from Ireland for a wedding and a friend told us about Calico and so three families with kids of all ages spent a week there after the wedding. It was the best week ever. The cottages are fantastic with everything you could possibly want even down to toothpicks supplied !! We used the open pit fire behind one of the cottages and had a barbeque a couple of nights with a roaring fire and a good sing song. 5 minutes walk to the beach also which is very handy and they supply a trolley so its no problem bringing all that you need to the beach, most of which they supply anyway.
Johanna & Costa, the owners, were like old friends the way they took care of us.
We will be back !!

Absolutely beautiful Beach house with everything you need for a beach house vacation. The owners couldn’t be more helpful, and provide everything u need. House was newly renovated and fully equipped with modern facilities. We spent a magical week there and would go back in the morning

Our home away from home! The bungalows are clean, comfortable and well appointed. Just bring your shorts, tee shirts, swimwear and beach towels and everything else is provided by the best hosts!
Oh, and if the beach is too much there are restaurants, shopping, golf courses and "things to do" close by all without crossing the bridge!

What a wonderful get away! Johanna & Costa thought of everything while planning this colorful cozy cottage community. The Sintra was spectacularly clean, charming and the perfect size for 2 guests. The beach buggy made the 5 minute walk to the beach an easy stroll and the beach chairs, grills, fire pit, picnic tables and outdoor shower made for the perfect shore getaway. We will be back!
