Stillwater River Boats

A fun way to spend an evening on the St. Croix River. We booked the Saturday night Jazz night dinner cruise. FYI- book online ahead of time as it was fully booked by the afternoon. Dinner was delicious. Buffet style (stuffed chicken, roast beef and cod with potatoes and salad, fruit and bread) and it was all very tasty for a buffet. The jazz band played for 20 or so minutes on our level and they were extremely talented! 👏 If you don't make reservations with a large party just make sure to board right away, 45 minutes in advance, for best seating. Our group brought along some playing cards which kept us fully entertained. A great date night or special outing with friends/family.

Beautiful views of the St. Croix River. The buffet was excellent, Wild Rice stuffed chicken breast, Roast Beef slices that could be cut with a knife and roasted potatoes, ect. Plus we have wonderful entertainment of a small jazz and ragtime band.

Easy to pre-book online and checking with your phone. All around it was worth the money and would go again. Good food and great views.

You need to know since we didn't: You must go fet your drinks and pay on the main level, water is free. You must walk to the bottom level to get your food, you are not told when to go stand in line, you are just supposed to know. Wipe the seat before you sit if you are on the upper outside deck! Soot will get on your rear, everyone was walking around black polka dotted from it.

I would absolutely go again, also, if the Captain or crew member would give announcements or narrate a little along the way of the history of the area would have made it even better.

Boat ride and dinner? Yes! It’s definitely great for birthdays and for lots of fun! Great to take pictures as well! They allowed us to bring a birthday cake in as well. 2 hours to and from, and a unique experience.

The overall experience was great. Staff were all very prompt and helpful, even generally all having smiles on their faces-- this is just not seen these days! That raises this to 5 stars. The only knock we had is that we ordered a vegetarian meal. It was not good. 3 vegetables (broccoli, carrots, and pea pods) kind of grief and put over a bed of some sort of rice or potato. It wasn't terrible but that's not a meal. Plenty of room for hundreds of people. I would have preferred the parking instructions be a bit more clear as myself and many others parked in the paid lot. There's a little ramp in front of the building and it's a bit steep, so I didn't think my van could make it. Again, not a huge thing just a little more detail, maybe another sign or something. Will definitely be back.
