A nice little restaurant. More Japanese than Jewish.
The food is interesting and tasty. Nice to order as family style and share portions
Has a few tasty vegan options as well. Overall a very interesting and tasty experience.
We had a group dinner there a few weeks ago and definitely enjoyed the food! The challah starter was good but I felt expensive for the size ($7 for a piece of bread). The dessert of banana pudding with challah was my highlight. I had the matzo ball ramen which was great while my friends enjoyed the other mains such as the Lox bowl (see pictures). I wish the restaurant had been playing music in the background I felt it could have heightened the experience. The only other reason I didn’t rate this a 5 was because they charge you for using your credit card. I really feel that the restaurant should sort this out and stop putting this charge on their customers. If this is suppose to be an established $$$ restaurant then don’t charge this, it’s ridiculous!
Jewish+Japanese food, absolutely amazing combo. The egg was close to perfection, the wagyu pastrami sandwich just as tasty as any other NY deli and the matzo ball ramen delicious. Desserts were great too. The restaurant is intimate, not too big, cozy, pretty and the service extremely nice. I totally recommend it and I am definitely going back soon to try the rest of their menu!
Second year we’ve done to the Christmas prefix. Glad to see the “Jew egg” back. One of my favorites. I had the hot pot and my hubby had the matzo ball ramen. Both delicious and hearty. I feel they really just do a great job with the fusion aspect. So well executed.
Great food, friendly staff, and delicious drinks. Bring a date here and they'll think you're hip to something fresh. Come after dark for *perfect* dim lighting.
No cap, whoever is writing the flavor descriptions of the beverages has tight palette to vocabulary skills. My drink was described as light body, funky, melon and it was EXACTLY THAT. Bravo, for real.
