We used to have Ms. looney as a Suzuki school teacher two years for my daughters. Now after we moved from the school district we continue with her in the The String Studio of Margie Looney so they can continue their progress. Ms.looney is a caring and loving person in addition to her outstanding professional teaching ability. As I have two daughters 8 &12 years their personality is different but they still achieved huge progress in the Suzuki because Ms looney using different way in teaching, very patient, organized, detailed, and make the class joyful.

Margie is a wonderful and compassionate teacher who works with all strings students to get them performing at their highest levels! She has experience with the Suzuki method, but also draws from her deep personal experience in musical education to make sure that each lesson is customized and personalized for your student. Your child will learn the fundamentals of their instrument and also the skills needed to continue practicing at home and to continue applying themselves in school.

Ms. Looney is a wonderful teacher! She has such a fun and infectious energy that she uses to draw her students in and have fun learning. My daughter has always been very shy and struggled with performing, even in front of only me and her teacher during the learning experience, but Ms. Looney worked hard to connect with her and find out how she best learns and is motivated. We’ve seen amazing progress with her that seems to have given her a confidence that has spread to the rest of her life. It might sound dramatic, but it’s true. It just takes someone willing to spend the time finding out how to reach a child and Ms. Looney did that. My daughter has progressed so much with her violin, and as a bonus we got confidence as well!

Ms. Looney is an AMAZING teacher!!! I honestly believe she could teach any child how to play an instrument! She is so patient with both my 10 yr old and 5 yr old. She truly cares for her students. Ms. Looney teaches with a variety of techniques to help each student reach their maximum potential. The Suzuki method teaches structure, discipline, respect, and focus at the same time as learning how to play a string instrument. Your children will improve in all areas of life through the discipline of this program. I cannot thank Ms. Looney enough for everything she has taught and continues to teach my kids.

The absolute best violin teacher, hands down! She is the kindest and most gentle teacher. You can tell that she is passionate about what she does and truly enjoys teaching children. My daughter is 5 years old and has made so much progress in a short 5 month period. We love Ms. Looney! 🎻
