Somerset Bed & Breakfast

We celebrated Anniversaries as a family. We rented the full house and it was a great experience.
The Somerset House is beautiful & our host Darren was very welcoming.
Darren made sure that we had all that we needed. The meals were amazing.
I would highly recommend the Somerset House. It is very elegant, first class service. Thank you Darren for making our stay at the Somerset House a wonderful experience. We will see you again at Christmas. Niagara on the Lake is spectacular in the winter.

The room was excellent! The food was superb! The view from the balcony was breathtaking, with even the waves, the ducks, the geese, the boats, and the birds all cooperating. So very, very peaceful.
The other guests were friendly and we had great conversations.

But the icing on the cake was the manager! He is a natural at the job. So accommodations, helpful, skilled, and relaxed. He made it a priceless time out for us.

What an amazing and luxurious getaway. Darren is the ultimate host. Balcony offers exceptional view. Walking distance to Queen St and all it has to offer

My (now) fiancee and I have come to Niagara-on-the-Lake every year for our dating anniversary. We have stayed at a number of places, all of which have been excellent. This year I was planning on proposing, and chose the Somerset for that trip.

Firstly, Kim (the Innkeeper) is amazing. She accommodated every one of my requests, including having a chilled bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes on the beautiful private balcony overlooking Lake Ontario for our arrival. She hid it perfectly on the balcony so that we couldn't see it when she first showed us the room.

The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. It is full of beautiful artwork, high ceilings, and amazing architectural and design details. There is plenty of space in the house for social distancing -- even though the other two rooms were booked for the weekend, we only saw other people there once.

We stayed in the West Wing - the room was beautiful; with a large living room area, a private balcony overlooking lake Ontario and Old Fort Niagara across the Niagara River. The bedroom has two large queen beds, large windows, and a beautiful ensuite bathroom.

Breakfast both mornings was served by Kim and could not be more delicious

All in all, this was an absolutely perfect weekend. I could not recommend the Somerset Bed and Breakfast more highly.

The Somerset is situated directly at the waterfront, on a quiet residential street, only steps away from the main shopping district. It's the perfect place for a luxurious and peaceful retreat.

We spent the night in the Master Suite, which lives up to the name. It's over 1,000 square feet. And it has a full sitting room, dining area, two queen beds and an absolutely stunning bathroom, with a jacuzzi of course!

From the private balcony, we had unobstructed views of Lake Ontario, Fort Niagara, and the Toronto skyline. This was our favourite feature of the room.

The host, Julie is a pleasure to be around. She gave us some great recommendations on places to eat in the area. In the morning, she whipped up a nice breakfast which consisted of a poached pear, poached eggs, and banana bread.

This is the perfect place to book for a quiet, romantic getaway in Niagara on the Lake.

If you are travelling with the family or prefer something more private, you might want to check out the Vine Village apartments, which are under the same umbrella as Somerset. I took a peek at the rooms during my stay and they are just gorgeous!
