Sweet Starts Birth Doula, CD(DONA)

Jennifer is an amazing Doula and an even more amazing human being that I can confidently recommend to anyone. I wasn’t quite sure if I truly needed a Doula in my birthing journey because I knew my chances of a C-section were very high.  I can assure you that I am SO glad I chose Jennifer to help me along in my journey. The advice she provided to me pre-labor really gave me confidence when true labor set in.  When my husband called her at 3am, asking questions about painful early-stage contractions, she cheerfully answered on the second ring. The benefits of a Doula may span beyond what you’d typically think about. Doulas can be an intermediary between nurses and you, especially when you’re not able to communicate, or think clearly.  I am forever grateful for her.  And, even though my delivery ended up as a C-section, Jennifer still stayed back in the room, and waited.  I ran into a complication during my C-section, and my husband came back with the baby to the room, alone.  Jennifer was there- quelling his every concern, and giving him someone to bounce emotions off of. What a team she makes!  She’s not intrusive- not bold. But, she’s there, and knows when and how to jump in to help.  Highly recommended!

Jennifer was an amazing addition to my birth team. As a second time mom who had severe PPD with my first child I needed someone in my corner to help boost my confidence. Jennifer was attentive to my needs and kept me calm during a scary moment after birth. She helped facilitate and remind me of my wants and needs for an empowering birth experience. Post birth we had home visits to check on me and my well being Along with daily checks on my mental health. She really listened to my concerns and I’m so grateful for her service. Jennifer is such a kind and compassionate soul who loves what she does. I highly recommend her.
