Old Iron, Architectural Salvage

This is hand downs the best place in NYC for architectural salvage. Owner Roy and manager Carlos are great people. I can spend hours at this place. Always new stuff coming in.

This place is hands down the best for architectural salvage of any borough that I have been to in NYC! Roy, Carlos and the guys that assist are very cordial and nice and the prices are FAR less than Big Reuse a block away. The top part of a full China cabinet I found under what seemed like a hundred brownstone doors they happily removed for me. I left the bottom piece but paid the full price quoted because it was so reasonable and for the effort it took to unearth the piece. My go to for architectural salvage!!!!

Good as usual tons of reclaimed and reusable stuff from doors, mantles, windows, gates, radiators, radiator covers etc. Anything you need to restore an older home to it's original charm! Shout out to my Man Carlos that's been there for years!!!

This place is a treasure trove, whether you're looking to rehab an apartment, a brownstone, a townhouse with authentic and and original pieces, you will find it here at a quarter of the price that youd find it at demolition depo or ye olde things would price it at.

Found some great huge flat files for my dad here for only $50 dollars each, and wound up taking home a vintage wooden steamer trunk, a light, and a nice nightstand for another hundred.

Not only do they have vintage salvage, but the guys there take some of the unusable or unsold pieces and turn them into some great furniture, truly impressive.

It seems like it goes on for miles inside the store which is filled with antique ironwork, as well as many beautiful things of an era when they made things to last. It's beautiful to see how these were saved to be reused and repurposed.
