Hot Diggity Dog

The guy behind the counter is nice and friendly. Food is cooked in front of you. It’s hot dogs (beef) and burgers. Local been there for decades. Worth the quick lunch visits!!

The burgers and dogs here are delicious! Reminds me of back yard bbqs when I was a kid. The guy cooking (forgot his name, sorry) was so friendly and personable. It's a very warm and inviting place. Will definitely be back again

If you want a staple of Sarasota cuisine, you must stop here! Hot Diggity Dog has been at this location for over 50 years and owned by the same family during all of that time. Good, simple, fast food at old-fashioned prices makes this the place to visit while in the Gulf Gate area or in your way to or from Siesta Key Beach.

I was visiting a friend and uttered the phrase, "Hot Diggity Dog"...

...and he said there was a restaurant with that name down the street! 😎

So when it came time to eat... we drove over 🤙

Only to see it was closed... 😯

We went the next day AND it was awesome...

I had the chili cheese dog WITH onions...

Even got a brief history from the owners son (I think 🤔)...

IF you are ever in the area... I would highly recommend Hot Diggity Dog 👍
