Big Boi's Chicken -N- Waffles

Tried for the first time, Big Boi's loaded potato and the 6 tender basket. They were both cooked fresh, and the portions were very generous! I loved the loaded potato, all the toppings were generously served. The taste was delicious! And the owner was very nice, so the service was on point too. Definitely recommend

This place is a best kept secret! The food is delicious & the people who run the place are extremely friendly! The portions are huge! We will definitely have leftovers & we will be return customers! Thank you for taking such good care of us on our first time in!

Every last person in the store had a smile when they spoke to me, down to the cashier. The owner was extremely attentive and courteous. I didn't catch his name but he was wonderful, very wholesome guy. He gave us too much food, we couldn't finish it 😅, but it was delicious. I genuinely had never had chicken made the way they make it. The loaded okra was so much more than I expected. Can't recommend this place enough

Little hole in the wall gem! Do not let fact this joint is in a convenience store deter you. It offers generous portions, freshly prepared, with a unique flavor. The food is wonderful. The Pork Chop Sandwich was perfect lly seasoned and juicy. The Philly Cheese was stuffed full of tender beef. Waffle on the chicken and waffle plate has a unique, absolutely delicious, cinnamon butter flavor. So good none us wanted to stop eating. The wingettes were crispy on the outside and bust with flavor with each bite . The peanut butter cake was moist and creamy....good Lord....Big Boi did it up right!! Owner and his staff were attentive and provided great service. When you find yourself in Mesquite, TX drop-in, you will not be disappointed!!

Update: Finally got the chance to try them, and I'm so glad we did! Those waffles will have you drooling. The chicken was flavorful and had a nice crunch to it. The baked potato was packed with meat. My husband, who has a healthy appetite, couldn't even finish it. The fried fish was cooked to perfection. The great customer service was a plus! We will definitely return to try more food.

Came by to try them out and was told they were on vacation. Not sure how long they will be closed.
