Krause Springs

Excellent spot to get out if the city and into nature. Lots of places for shade or sun. If you have water shoes, bring them it's Rocky and slippery. There is a rope swing and a high dive, the water isn't super deep but you can jump. It's very much a natural spring so the water isn't clear and the bottom is muddy! The waterfalls are beautiful and perfect for your social media posts, or better yet family photos. The staff is very nice, plenty of parking. I'm sure during the summer it gets really busy real quick so get there early.

Phenomenal swimming hole and gardens. Tent camping and primitive RV sites with access to everything. Beautiful very large and old cypress trees provide lots of shade and the spring fed pools are a refreshing 68 degrees and are full even during droughts. The gardens are fantastic with lots of flowers and tropical plants along with water features and seating spread around.

The water was brown and murky, pretty crowded, but even then, still really cool. Kids had a blast. Look forward to going back when the water is more clear and during a week day! Pretty scenery, wish I had taken more/better pics. The upper pool was cold, but still refreshing on a super hot day. Kids liked jumping in that one as well.

They do a great job keeping up the place and the springs are awesome. There's a cliff you can jump from which is fun and it's a pretty big park. I do recommend just keep in mind the heat so bring something to stay cool during summer.
