  It was good, me and my dad bought the shrimp and squid for our time at santa monica for fishing. However none of the bait was that helpful. The shrimp works a little better though. I would recommend to fish later in the summer, right at the moment, the fishing is bad, there are not to many fish trying to take the bait.

  Loved it.
  Very busy very tourist but a nice place to visit.
  Some great places to eat.

  Parking cost $25 but if you drive a few minutes to Broadway and 4th St you can find a public parking where you get the first 90 minutes free then an hour or more for a $1 or so
  
  The pier is very famous about fishing, nice restaurant and gift shop
  
  I think it's a must to visit after you visit El Matador beach 21 miles away.
  
  Also got a very nice beach but is so crowded though
