Al is a master of his craft. His attention to detail and precision are second to none. He has done several repairs for me on Fenders and Gibsons and the results have been beyond perfect. I trust him completely to treat my guitars with the same care as he would his own. I can't overstate the quality of his work.
What really raises him above the crowd, is that he treats his customers like welcome guests, unlike so many others who behave as though clients are an annoyance.
Take your instruments to him you will forever be glad you did.
Would give more stars if I could. Al does a phenomenal job! Have brought multiple guitars to him and will continue to go to him for any and all work for my guitars. I trust him to take care of my instruments and go beyond what is expected. Al is a great guitarist too, so you can tell he gets a great deal of satisfaction making your guitar sound great!
Took the workshop this past weekend. You want to learn about setting up guitars, look no further than speaking to Al.
From the minute you are greeted at the door, you know that the experience is going to be a positive one. In fact, you will come away with so much information and knowledge that you may... I mean you will become hooked!
The thing that interested me was learning how to set up a guitar correctly. I have two really nice guitars and a couple of inexpensive ones. At this workshop, we learned and performed work that included working on a guitar's action, intonation, truss rod adjustments, pickup height, bridge and tremolo adjustments, and most importantly, fret level and fret dressing. Everything that you need to know... and more! What I really liked was that the work we did was on a guitar that Al supplied, so if you are worried about messing up, no need to worry! And if you want to work on your guitar and you make a mistake (by chance), you have a pro that will walk you through the fix and get you back on track.
What amazed me was that we took an inexpensive guitar and produced an ax that had amazing action by the time we were done. Oh and let's not forget that we made a nut from scratch out of bone.
All in all... an experience well worth the time, effort, and money. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with me over this past weekend. You get five out of five stars in my book ✮✮✮✮✮

Great A+++++ I wish I could give Al 10 stars. Very knowledgeable, great workmanship. Al really cares about customer service and made my daughter very happy. Her bass guitar sounds fantastic. He is the only guy I would recommend for all your guitar repairs or any custom guitar work.
Al is an exceptional craftsman; he pays attention to detail like no other. The fact that he is a killer musician is the perfect match to being a great repairman & builder. He can understand from the player’s perspective. I highly recommend him for any guitar related work you may have. Thanks Al!
