The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

  I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I have had to come to my own witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is everything it claims to be, the only true church on the earth today. I've been a member in the local congregation called a ward for the past 6 years. This is a welcoming location with a great group of members dedicated to becoming more like our Savior Jesus Christ.
  
  The Church is focused on everyone becoming more like Christ. The belief is that The Church of Jesus Christ is the same church that Jesus himself organized while he was on the earth. That church that Jesus organized went into apostasy after his chosen Apostles were killed. The proper authority to baptize and perform heavenly ordinances was lost even though much truth and many good people remained on earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is therefore, the restored Church of Jesus Christ. That restoration came by a boy named Joseph Smith seeking personal revelation from heaven in 1820 about which faith was the true faith. Joseph's earnest prayer was answered with a visitation by both God the Father and his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. They told him to join none of the churches yet on the earth and that in time he would help restore the true Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. The same revelation that Joseph sought is the means whereby anyone can learn that God has indeed restored the true Church of Jesus Christ to the earth in our time and that we have a living prophet. The Book of Mormon is a special witness of Jesus Christ that stands as a 2nd witness with the Bible that Jesus is the Christ. The Book of Mormon is tangible proof that Jesus has restored his Church to the earth again.
  
  As member's of Christ's Church we seek to become more like Christ, realizing we are imperfect and have a long way to go, we seek to share the light of Jesus Christ with others, we seek not to take away any truth and light of other churches, but to add to it, and we boldly seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is meant to teach mankind to return to live with God again if we can follow the commandments of God, our works, and become like Christ to approach the throne of God through the mercy of Jesus Christ's perfect atoning sacrifice for all men.
