For the first time in 2 years, I firmly believe relief and comfort are in my future. Without surgery!! My path has not been easy or comfortable. I have sought guidance from the orthopedic community, physical therapists, and pain management- and those recommended solutions were all focused on treating the location of the pain- but none really addressed the root of the pain. its been a complicated path, but acupuncture, actually Katie M., has delivered more relief, more sleep-full nights, greater movement than anyone to date.

If I had to pinpoint Katie's discriminator in her approach, its that she listens. She takes it all in, seeking to understand your story. Your path (your journey) is important to her assessment. She probes...a lot, asking questions that allow you to share information that often might go unsaid. But the real discriminator is she studies your situation, and her plan for you will be an individualized plan. Its apparent at each appointment, your situation has been on her mind. The connections she has made in how my pain travels has driven her to focus on other areas outside of the actual pain location and she appears to be tacking the root of the pain. I only wish I had found Katie earlier.

I'm a distance open water swimmer and Katie works magic on my shoulders.

I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder in the fall of 2016. After seeing an orthopedic specialist, I was told my condition could last up to 2 years. Options were PT, cortisone, and/or surgery. I began PT, but it was extremely painful to work through the stiffness. I knew, however that movement was the only way to "unstick" my shoulder. Frustrated that my condition wasn’t improving after 6 months, I went back to have more tests done to be sure nothing cynical was going on in my shoulder region. Surgery was discussed again, but I wanted to try a more holistic approach first. Then I met Katie.

As one of the best practitioners in the area, I knew I was in good hands. Her calming, knowledgeable approach helped me understand the benefits of acupuncture and I began my treatments. She developed a plan for me that not only helped my pain immediately, but also days after my treatment so that I could work through my PT with less pain, which then improved mobility of my shoulder.

A few months after seeing Katie, with this holistic approach, acupuncture helped stimulate function to my shoulder region and evoked my body’s natural healing response. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner with Katie. If you are suffering any type of pain, I highly recommend meeting with Katie to devise a plan.

I have been suffering with severe back pain for over 25 years. I have endured many invasive treatments to help with pain management with poor results. My doctor recommended I try acupuncture and gave me a referral to see Katie and I'm glad he did. After a few short weeks I was feeling much better and the pain changed from an 8 to a 3. I was mildly surprised at how effective it was. Katie is very professional, knowledgeable and skilled in her craft. She listens patiently and makes decisions about what kind of intervention is needed at each visit. She has earned my highest recommendation.

I have seen Katie for several conditions including sciatica. The treatment was extremely effective and I had some relief after the first session. She recommended a course of treatment and after I finished all of the sessions, I was pain-free.
Katie was very professional and unlike most conventional doctors I have seen, she took the time at the initial consult to really understand my discomfort and concerns.
