The motel has its charm.
For $230 a week or $45 a day, you receive a room that can be warm and/or cool depending on the season. No card is needed to stay. No hidden taxes or fees on top of the price. Wi-Fi can be slow in the evenings when everyone seems to be streaming Netflix, but the Wi-Fi is free. Dish Network is included with a movie channel or two thrown in gratis. They've HAD a roach issue here for many years. It's an older building so that's no surprise. They've been spraying, cleaning, and posting bug eviction notices and I'm pleased to say that I've not seen any bug within my room the entire summer! Outside of a single rollie pollie that comes around from time to time.
Management is nice and they've helped me out many times. Although, if you try take advantage you'll be lucky to stay more than 473 seconds afterwards.
I've witnessed some of the best sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen, while staying. If you plan on staying a while, choose your side of the motel wisely. Eastside or Westside? Privacy or view? Long term or short term? Left or right? Up or down? WAIT! What was I getting to? D*mnit...

Well it's not that bad here. The people on the Western side of the building are nice, but the Eastern side has argumentative people. This morning I was awoken by some of Olathe's finest asking if we knew of anyone being killed on the property, so I'd have to say bad mark for the hotel there. Every room has satalite tv, which doesn't like thunderstorms very well, but thankfully the facility has a lovely view in which to watch the impending stormy doom approach so I don't consider this that bad. It has free at&t wifi which seems to have gotten faster over the past few days. I haven't seen a single bug either. Apart from the manager looking in our room when the toilet was having issues and saying we need to clean it simply because we had a pile of clothes on the ground we we're about to take to the laundry mat, I don't have to many complaints about the staff. Truthfully, this place is calm and peaceful outside Olathe PD knocking on the door this morning.
