  Great place to eat good price for the value
  I usually go there to grab a quick snack.
  Staff is very understanding and they also maintain the cleanliness of the area efficiently.

  Good local deli and liquor store, friendly staff and reasonable prices considering it is right outside the zoo

  I love that in S.F. I can find a great sandwich in every neighborhood! I tried this place while taking my daughter to the zoo, and it was really good--fresh bread, quality ingredients and great service. I really enjoyed the zoo motif with seperate menus for carnivores and herbivores. Seems like a family run place with roots in the City.

(415) 664-3215. Grabbing a sammy, at George's Zoo, solo alone, with no crew, went for beef or ham, not something new. Luckily George's Zoo deli was a short walk away. I was greeted so warmly by the gentlemen behind the counter. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on a sourdough roll.
