Very nice park. Be careful at night cars tend to speed
Lloyd Park is a lovely place to bring the family, with a small walking path, gazebo, and children's play area. There is also a sand volleyball court, and public restrooms.
At the far end of the park is a dog park, but it's not a dog park in the traditional sense, with a chain link fenced in area, divided into two sections, for smaller and bigger dogs. However, the concept is fantastic, and, if you have a medium to large breed dog, or a small dog who is well trained, it is doggie Mecca.
At the end of the park sits land that wasn't appropriate for a walking path, or anything else. It is uneven, has small streams running through it, and is prone to getting muddy. A large split rail fence was installed, with chicken wire to block the wide gaps. This is the entrance to the dog park. The rest of the park is bounded by natural brush, scrub, and trees, and lengths of split rail when nature doesn't suffice. Small dogs can easily run in and through the brush and scrub.
The park has provided a section for dog agility training, with large equipment, which is a nice surprise.
So, for medium to large dogs, it is a wonderland in which to roam free, play in the mud, muck, and water, and have a fantastic time with doggie friends.
I absolutely love this dog park!! Plenty of room for you pup to play with other dogs, there's a creek for them to swim in and plenty of trails for a hike all off the leash my black lab can't get enough!!
Wonderful park to unleash your dog and let them run till they drop. Water in hot weather is a major bonus. Stay clear when overly crowded, there are often some aggressive dogs. Great park.
