Cool place, lots of wildlife and other fun interesting facts to learn. Not giving 5 stars only because I got triggered when I was there on a Tuesday and the flippin visitor center door said "Closed on Tuesdays". That made me a little upset as I was just driving through Denver and wanted to see something cool.
Great place for a drive or walk to see some wildlife. Be prepared to spend at least an hour there driving through the park, as the speed limits are low and this increases your chance to see wildlife! While we were there we saw lots of deer, gophers, and bison. We even saw one coyote. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed due to the government shutdown, but it looks like a great place to learn a little bit more about the area.
Great place to see a variety of animals. Go early or sunset for best sightings. Very peaceful and relaxing drive. Staff inside the visitor's center is very helpful.
This is a great place to visit when driving through Denver area. The main building has a lot of fun activities for young and old people. The drive around the park was my favorite part. While driving you will see a lot of animals, the drive takes anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and a half depending on how busy it is and how long you stay at different stops along the way
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has done a tremendous job converting this former chemical- and biological-weapons depot into a beautiful, peaceful wildlife sanctuary. It has several large, secluded ponds that anyone can fish at; miles of tree-lined roads and trails from which you can take pictures and maybe catch a glimpse of the bison herd that lives there; and a nearly new visitor center that has lots of exhibits on the arsenal's former history and on the wildlife that calls the refuge home. But the best part of the arsenal is that it is free! No cost to enter and no cost to enjoy the exhibits, trails, and peace and quiet. You will have to pay a small fee to fish, and it is catch and release, but it is worth it.

We held our first fishing clinic for the season last Sunday where kids learned about fish anatomy, the lake ecosystem, and fishing ethics. Many thanks...
