  This is a beautiful place for a quick easy stop to gaze out upon a remarkable Vista. The shelter and the restrooms are new. The shelter has a nice Lookout on the backside. Haven't explored the trails; if there are any.

Boone Creek Conservation Area | McHenry County Conservation ...

Situated in the upper reaches of the Boone Creek watershed, the 608 acre Boone Creek Conservation Area protects the headwaters, upland recharge areas, wetlands and creek corridors of the greater 13-mile Boone Creek. The Boone Creek watershed drains roughly 23 square miles of McHenry, Greenwood, Door and Nunda Townships.

Permits | McHenry County Conservation District

Permits are required for all general use groups requesting use of a District Conservation Areas, with or without a picnic area/shelter that will be hosting 16 or more people for any gathering or activity. These permits must be requested at least 10 days in advance by contacting Brookdale Administrative Offices at 815-338-6223 x 1211.
